# IKT206
This project is a simple kubernetes cluster built as part of the IKT206 DevOps exam. It is using a Python Flask app as a web app example. The web app and Postgresql are deployed in Docker containers, and Kubernetes manifests are used to define staging and production environments. ArgoCD is used in the kubernetes cluster to automatically synchronize changes pushed to the git repository to the staging environment, and then it requires manual confirmation in the ArgoCD dashboard to deploy the changes to the production environment.
A gitlab CI/CD pipeline is used to test the Python Flask app and then to build the application as a Docker image to be used by the kubernetes cluster.
There is also a development environment, which runs locally using SQLite istead of Postgresql, for testing the web application.
